Last weekend I stopped by The Relovables pop-up sale, and might I say it’s one of THE best local sales a shopper can find herself. The only downside was that I came “late” – halfway into the sale. Apparently sales racks had already been ravaged by then. Clothing ranged from $5 Forever 21 skirts to discounted couture dresses in the hundreds. There’s such a wide range not only in prices but the products. I saw Fendi boots (real?), skate(board) items, leather handbags, Marc by Marc Jacobs iPad cases, summery fedoras, sunglasses, and much more. Did I also mention that partial proceeds benefited Canuck Place?
The sale came together when Ion Magazine’s Online Content Manager, Natasha Neale, put out the idea of holding a joint sale. Soon, a slew of fashion industry insiders joined her, including Mandy Ross, Carlie Wong, Mana Mansour, Amaly Narong of TODAY boutique, Tina Guidon of The Boardroom. For men, this included Dickson Li of Thirty-Two Snowboard Apparel, Dexter Dolores of Style Apparent, and Studio Cloud 30 owner Warren Dean Flandez himself, who offered up his recording studio space.
I tried on a pair of Carlie Wong paillette pants that made me feel like a mermaid. Was close to getting them for fashion week, but in the name of buying things that I NEED, I painstakingly walked away from them.
Warren says there may be fashions shows hosted at Studio Cloud 30 in the future. I loved the space and sure hope there will be some more rocking fashion events and sales soon!
