Product Review: ATTITUDE Body Care

Recently I’ve become all things beauty obsessed. From skincare to makeup, I can’t get enough lately and was beginning to forget that body care can be fun too.  Standing in a drugstore aisle or Sephora can be a bit daunting at times but there is one brand that always catches my eye when I’m at London Drugs due to it’s burst of colour on their packaging. Based out of Montreal, ATTITUDE has developed a line of 100% natural products ranging from household and body care and even pet care!

Mindfully made in Canada, all ATTITUDE products are hypoallergenic, cruelty free and vegan. ATTITUDE also highlights that their formulas contain “worry-free” ingredients, meaning that the ingredients are free of cancer causing contaminants, mutagens and distruptors.

Volume & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner

Comprised of soy proteins and cranberries, this hair cleansing combo promises to pump up the volume and add some serious shine to your tresses. A popular DIY hair treatment is to use cranberry juice to add shine however fair-haired users found that the juice stained their hair a slight rosy hue. ATTITUDE makes cranberry more more hair friendly by infusing their volume shampoo and conditioner with cranberry extract. Soy has been used as a source of protein it diets for years now, but did you know soy is a superstar when it comes to hair products? Because hair is comprised primarily of protein, soy helps plump up the hair strands from within while filling in the gaps caused by hair damage.

However, if you have freshly coloured hair, another hair duo may be better suited for you. Volumizing shampoos and conditioners main objective is to plump up your hair and these volumizing ingredients can “push out” the colour from your strands. Volume shampoo and conditioners are also well suited for oily hair because they do not add any excess moisture that may weigh down hair, so ultra-dry strands should look for other formulas. ($9.95 CAD each)

Soothing Shower Gel

A little goes a long way with this ultra-lathering shower gel. I found that a quarter sized amount was enough to get my entire body squeaky clean. Meant for drier skin types, this creamy formula left my skin smooth and moisturized. Infused with white tea leaves the formula helps protect your skin from daily oxidation which speeds up the aging process.

I found this shower gel to be more like shower cream due to its rich lather and my summer skin drank up every bit of moisture. Since I’ve been spending more time outside my skin has been dry and parched and ATTITUDEs’ soothing shower gel was just what my skin needed. ($9.95 CAD)

Nourishing Body Cream

Another heavy-hitter in their Super Leaves collection, ATTITUDEs’ nourishing body cream is ultra moisturizing leaving your skin glowing. The olive leave extract adds a serious dose of moisturizer while soothing sensitive skin. A true cream, the formula is thick in consistency and needs a little extra work to absorb into your skin without leaving a white residue. ($14.95 CAD)

The Verdict

If you’re looking to step up your cleansing game with a brand consisting of worry-free ingredients than ATTITUDE may be your new go-to line for body care. Available at London Drugs, ATTITUDE drug store pricing makes it a great introductory brand to cleaner products because they are affordable and accessible.

ATTITUDE was kind enough to gift me a few body care goodies to try out and review for Style by Fire. All thoughts and opinions are my own and not influenced by the brand or their affiliates.
