PHOTOS: New Roots Cabin Opens at Pacific Centre

The ever-so-iconic Canadian retailer Roots Canada recently opened a new concept store at CF Pacific Centre. The new concept, Roots Cabin, is the third of its kind in the world and the first in Western Canada. It offers an elevated shopping experience evoking the comforts of a modern cabin with a customization station and a ultra-cozy lounge area.

Inspired by the Canadian outdoors the retail space features reclaimed wood panelling and display tables, canoes and painted canoe paddles in place of railings in the fitting rooms.

The Customization Workshop

The ability to customize your Roots purchase is what makes this retail space truly unique in comparison to other retailers and other Roots stores. From a variety of embroidery, embossing and patch add-ons available Roots aims to create a unique experience for shoppers.

The Lounge

A spacious lounge features cedar wall paneling with the Canadian flag painted across the entire wall. With phone charging stations and bottle water available, waiting for a friend trying on clothes has never been so comfortable.

Jim Gabel, Roots President and CEO, says “Vancouver was selected for the Roots Cabin enhanced experience format because the truly unique active lifestyle found here inspired our desire to be more connected to the open air of the outdoors.”
